I today received a very interesting little grouping to SS-Obersturmfuehrer Fritz Burchard of SS-Infanterie Regiment 10 (mot).
Earlier in his career, Burchard was an SS-Untersturmfuehrer with 2. SS-T.V. Standarte "Brandenburg" earlier in his career. He subsequently served with SS Heimwehr Danzig.
From the research that I've made SS-Infanterie Regiment 10 (mot) would have been involved in anti-partisan activities. As I understand it members of SS-Infanterie Brigade also assisted in the Holocaust, whether this would have included member of Inf. Rgt 10, I do not know.
In addition to the award document for the Wound Badge in Black, the grouping includes a quantity of paperwork. Mostly old copies but fascinating nevertheless.
Presently, I would be grateful if anyone could help me ID the signatures below please.
Thanks for looking.
All the best,
Toby.
