Hello Gents,

Could someone confirm that these two are really the signatures of Hildebrandt and Metzler?

This one is directly signed in the book.

This one is stencilled, if that is the correct English term for it, and should be of the Knights cross winner Jost Metzler:




Both books origin from the legacy of a unknown U-boot occupant.

Your question is unclear to me. The Hildebrandt signature appears to be an original handwritten name by a Uboot commander as per what is written underneath the name. The label pasted in the book looks to be an item issued perhaps to everyone in the 19. Uboot flotille at Christmas and appears to be Metzler's name on it.
