There was a bing POW camp in Bellaria near Rimini: http://www.dpcamps.org/Rimini1.jpg
The area which today cover The Romagna provinces of Rimini, Forli-Cesena and Ravenna was chosen by the Allied in May 1945 as an internment area for a large number of soldiers of the German Army (about 150.000) caputured in Italy after the undiconditional surrenderg of Germany. This led to the setting up of what became justly called the “Rimini Enklave” along the Adriatic coast beween Cervia to tte north and Riccione to the south. It consists in a complex system of camps which included not only over the prisoners of war camp, but also a set of supporting infrastructures which were intended to guarantee supplies and satisfy the principal needs of those interned. Between 1945 and 1947, an extramely diverse group of male and female prisoners were interned (also many ex-russinan soldiers)….
