    Service doc. KG1

    Below is an award document for service in Kampfgeschwader 1 "Hindenburg" awarded to Unteroffizer Karl Kaase for his service w/I, II and IV Gruppe of KG 1. Kaase went on to attain the rank of Feldwebel and was awarded the German Cross in Gold (later award not listed in available ref. material).

    I would be curious to see other LW doc. of this type, I've seen them for other bomber units but do not know if they exist for JG, StG, etc. ...
