SS Freiwilligendivision Prinz Eugen stamped magazins

Wanted to show you those hungarian Tolnai vilaglapja magazins from 1942 all stamped with SS Freiwilligendivision Prinz Eugen and Archiv Werschetz. I´ve obtained those magazins directly in Werschetz. They where found there in an old house. Those magazins where surely read by members of the Prinz Eugen Division. This town today called Vrsac is in the banat region belonging to Serbia. Before WW2 Werschetz was half of the town populated by serbians and about half by germans. It is about 10 kilometres away from the border to Romania and also not to far from the hungarian border. That region belonged to the Austro hungarian Monarchie until the end of WW1.In the banat region lived a lot of people of german decent called the Danube schwabs. They came in the 18th century to this region mostly farming. Many of them joined (voluntarily and not so much voluntarily) the SS Div. Prinz Eugen. One example is Arthur Phleps himself. Those people spoke german as well as serbian, hungarian and romanian depending on which region the lived. The headquaters of the Div. Prinz Eugen was in Pancevo that is not very far from Vrsac. With those magazins i also got there 2 tinnies connected with the SS. Those i will show in another thread in the tinnie section.

IMO I am afraid that all peaces are copy (stamp on magazines and badge). Last time many items comes with this prinz eugen stamp (from Serbia) and many fantasy pins and badges can see too.

Here have one g.spr.g kiste with identical stamp. If exist that unit stamp kist.....
Kiste sell on one our forum.

I respect your opinion but i am convinced they are original. If you look at the stamps you can see that they must be there for a long time. Also if you look closely at the stamps they vary quite a bit from the one you have shown. If newly stamped it would look different not faded like some of them.
Another aspect is if somebody wants to sell you items like that to make money and stamp it to gain advantage out of it. Or how it is in my case you get the magazins for free from people you know who look for you for old military stuff like that. And if they can tell you who found it and where they found it.And that goes also for the badges. I think that makes a difference altough it is no prove if it is fake or not. But you know i have photoalbums from that Division got them also there in Werschetz and if i would show them here i am sure somebody would say imo fake. skalp

Hi once more. If you found yourself in Vrsac then no worries (or get for free).

But not understand something .Why need division Hungarian papers ? My city is 40km from hungarian border and for yet i dont found any hungarian magazines or newspaper here from that time . And found many papermagazines for yet . Why somebody buy strange magazines if nobody can not read it?

I want to tell that the last couple of years many artefacts ( from this division) offer from Serbia and in most cases not good (like box from photo) and some badges (not your) which i seen. And behind all items are great found story.

Well my friend as you live in the area you know cities in serbia like Senta, Horgos etc etc.where many hungarian speaking people living in serbia. But also in the Prinz Eugen Division where many Volksdeutsche who where at least bilingual speaking either hungarian, romanian, serbian as well as german. Beeing born there in the banat region even having the citizenships of those countries. But i think you know that already. Take an example Artur Phleps born as a Volksdeutscher in Romania. He where before he joined the armed german forces in the romanian army. You think he could only speak german?? Of course he spoke romanian as well. Those magazins where full with nazipropaganda as Hungary was on the german side. Why not read them ?? Especially why not if they are written in the language what you where used to speak ?? And finally yes i found them in Vrsac because my wife is right from there born and raised. And all my friends and family there know i am collecting military items. And if they find something or know somebody who found something they try to get that stuff for me. Nice guys there i am lucky ((((((((((((((((((-:
