    Hi Hundstaffel.
In fact it is a cartoon of British Prime Minister Nevil Chamberlane.Top hat, umbrella and morning coat.
    Its part of a hole group of drawings,from KG27. code "1G+??"Germany 1939.
Go over to LEMB,webb sight, and some one will ID the crew and aircraft.
"LEMB"Luftwaffe Experten Message Board.Enjoy the sight.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards Jack

Does Polen in the handwritten caption mean this photo is from Poland?

I guess they probably wouldn't have painted a Chamberlain caricature on a plane until after war was declared at the beginning of September.

Those are some LONG shoes they painted onto his feet! Perhaps to make him a sinister-looking Shylock kind of character.

          Here's a Chamberlain caricature on u-boat U-47

          www.u-47.org

The bird-with-umbrella logo also satirized Chamberlain

The original owner of this album actually served with I Gruppe, 3. KG 55 (G1 + J ?) before being transferred to the Panzer arm in late 1944.

Sorry, but I see here on the aircraft tail
                          The Bavarian comedian Karl Valentin

You are correct "Uncle Kurt" - the caricature is indeed the Bavarian comedian Karl Valentin.

Interesting in that he was transferred to the Heer branch of panzer service instead of Luft?
