It's very interesting that he's wearing a latter tunic (M44) as noted by Mike Davis but the silver wound badge is the pre-WW2 "Condor Legion" version. Great photo.Comment

What makes this a Panzergrenadier?I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
