Portrait Photo: Subject & Text Identification

Here is a postcard size photo portrait of a Heer officer wearing his EK1 (1914); EK2 (1939) Spange and KVK 1st Class w/Swords. His face is chiseled and scarred...perhaps fencing or battle scars?

The reverse of the photo card is blank, except for printed text in the middle dividing line which I think may be the printer's name and a number: LEONAR 442.

Can anyone perhaps identify this officer and decipher the cursive at the bottom, please? All feedback will be appreciated.

I suggest you put it on the translation thread on the paper forum, I'm sure Gerdan will quickly and precisely give you a translation. Sadly I can't help ID him but surely is a interesting picture.

Seems to me to be signed by a doctor, an Oberstabsartz + Chief ?. The first two lines are a dedication for something in his hospital time? Feldlaz ? Signed by a Dr.
