    263rd Infanterie Division Grouping

Hey all, picked this up today. The greater share is from one soldier, and all from one family. Includes documents for EK2, black wound, Sturmabzeichen, and Ostmedal. Lots of Feldpost - 4 Kennkarten, for the father, mother, and 2 sisters - a Wehrpass for a brother who was declared unfit for military service - 2 letters from Company commanders in Russia (Aug & Oct 1944) for 2 of the brothers who went missing, presumed dead or captured - post-war correspondence by the mother searching for the sons final resting place - photo's from home, in uniform, messing around - each of the sons in an official postcard picture - one large portrait, framed - and an Ehren Chronicle, sort of a combo Wehrmacht showcase / photo album. Also included his EK 2 & Ost Medal (see appropriate forums) and I'll be getting the Sturmabzeichen in a couple of weeks.
    Not bad for a Monday.....

Most of the Feldpost is in Sutterlin, so I can barely read it. If anybody would like closeups of anything, just LMK.

        Hello Hank,
Looks like a very nice grouping. Did you obtain this directly from the family, or from a dealer?
        Best regards! Tom

Picked up from a guy in Germany who helped clean out a house after the last of the family passed away. No relatives left - more or less an "estate sale" purchase. Fortunately it was only about 30 minutes away from my house, so I inspected everything first.
There were a few 3rd Reich books, (I recall Der Wehrmacht 1941) and a huge wall map of The Greater German Reich, which had obviously had lots of pins put into it. I didn't get those - stuck with the military and family stuff.

          thanks
          Hank
