Wartime or Post-War Police Photo ???

    "Lifted" these from the net...

As my knowledge of Police Shakos and Vehicle ID's are not exactly among my stronger points, I thought I would post this here for those with that knowledge.

This is actually a great photo of Police in training, but when ???

Veedub or not, I think Ian is correct in the other aspects.

          Notice K98 as well.

          Great photo.

Indeed it is a VW Beetle, but those cars were produced (and correct me if I'm wrong here) from the mid-30's until 2001. The key here is the other heavier vehicles and (especially) the Shakos.

The rifle is partly covered by the watermarks.
Is that a Walther 98K or maybe a Walther G31?
