I just got these two pics from a friend of mine in Germany.

I think these two pics are really so cool. Propoganda pics of german soldiers in wwii are pretty prevalent. However, what strikes me is the candidness of these two pics. Enlarge if you want to see what the officer on the beach is holding.. I believe it is a large Jellyfish.. Kind of neat just seeing German soldiers having fun...

Anyone ever see these before? Any idea of what beach? Doesnt look like Normandy from the pics I have seen...

Awesome photo of the Jellyfish! Love it! That is most likely somewhere in the Mediterranean and appears to be mid-war from the uniform selections.
