    What is this award?

    Hello again guys. I'm am curious about this medal. It doesn't strike a bell with me. I'm sure the pros out there will pick it out right away.

    It looks like he has an infantry assault badge and a black wound badge.

        You are welcome, but I was wrong. It is a General Assault Badge, not an IAB.

            No, the IAB would be in the exact same postition as that GAB. The only badge that could be above the ribbon bar would be a Close Combat Clasp.

              That is the ribbon for the Italo-German North Africa Medal (the one with the two Axis "Samurai" doing dental work on a crocodile), which means he is tucking an "Afrika" cufftitle behind his back.
