Can anyone say me what is this unit and what their members do? I have the three citations to this officers, Black Wound badge, Ostmedaille and the EK II, the other two are named to him as apointed to the same unit.

Angel,

a Frontsammelstelle is a front line collection point. At the time of this award it was stationed in Gomel and was subordinated to 2nd Army. It's personnel were condsidered as security troops and were responsible for amongst other things reception of replacements and onward distribution to units and the collection and sorting of captured enemy equipment.
