Can't tell you the dimension etc but I can tell you what happened to it.

It was smashed into small bits by the Soviet soldiers and then broken up into 10000000 bits as souvenirs by the various allied soldiers until later in 46 when there was nothing much left.

Seems the soviets where keen on it as a Souvenir as it was something that they could not be called out on having.

The top and side panels were marble the wood was I think old German maple and fine walnut burl.

I think you are mistaken. You appear to be referring to the map table (seen in the background.) This is the one which was famously broken into souvenir pieces and had a marble surface. It is often mistakenly referred to as Hitler's desk which had a leather insert as the writing surface. This can clearly be seen in the photos and is described in detail in the large format book on the Reichskanzlei.
        Max.

Planning on having a factory in Guangzhou attempt to replicate it?

Isn't Hitler's desk in the History Museum in Berlin? I remember seeing there and it is hard to forget as it is one huge mother.

              It survived

It survived and was in a museum in Munich as I saw it there in the 1970's. Don't know it's present location however. I guess Berlin now.

You are most likely right Max. I was just paraphrasing from a book called 'The Sound of War' by P. Strusberg. He was one of the first westerners to get into the chancellory and gives a very detailed and vivid picture of what it looked like. I imagine he didn't have the benefit of an inventory ledger when he was there and the given the 45+ years since the event and his writing the book.

He spends a few pages on the the Chancellory and Bunker.

I think we should be more concerned about finding the amber room first. I have heard they are close to finding not only it, but other buried treasure the upper crust of the nazis stashed away in 45. Fellows there is enough to go around, and there are still medals in may of the deep german lakes awaiting to be discovered. When chen has one duplicated ,craig can sell it at auction to fund his secret war .BBBBRRRTTT!!!

Hi Obersalzberg, and welcome among us! If possible, I'm sure many of us would like to see your photos of this desk from the Berlin History Museum, and anything else you found of interest there.
