An very rare Hund Card from a very notorious (SS) Police Battalion....
The caption of the postcard: "I will remain loyal to you!"
The postcard was sent to Polizei-Oberwachtmeister B[ernhard]. von Stemm, Polizei Bataillon 305, 2. Kompanie, Kielce (Radom) Generalgouvernement, from Hamburg, Germany, on 20 July 1941.
It reads:
Addresser: von Stemm, Hamburg 19, Sillemstrasse 31, Hamburg, 19 July 1941.
Dear Bernhard.
So that you don't think we have forgotten you, we are hereby sending you our best wishes from the homeland. Do you have the prospect to go on leave soon? How are you, everything hunky-dory? See you again soon, Father, Mother, Thea, K[arl].Heinz and Oswald.
*** One can only imagine if Bernhard truly felt "hunky-dory" about the deeds in which (SS) Police Battalion 305 performed....
