Hello photo enthusiasts!
I am starting a research project, and am wondering if anybody has copies of, or access to, a photo run of Goring's surrender to U.S. forces on May 7, 1945. I'm trying to find photos of the adjutants who were with him at the time. Initial research shows that he had six aides among his surrendering entourage, including:
Oberst Bernd von Brauchitsch
Oberst Werner Teske
Major Auter
Major MΓΌhr
Major Nuelle
Hauptman Klaas
I've included a photo of Oberst von Brauchitsch with Goring, one of a few published in Brian Davis' Luftwaffe volumes. The second photo is one of Goring on what appears to be a subsequent day, sitting down with U.S. forces.
Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason
