Can anyone help with a translation of this letter ..Looks like a letter from General Jodl to Kesselring ..Looks to be signed by both Kesselring and Jodl ..Can anyone help ?? Thank You . Brent

Letter Dated 1928 ??

I think that the letter has General Kesselring's original auto at the top showing he read this letter or authorized what it says ..It looks like a 1928 date on the letter ..I thought maybe that could have been a early Jodl auto as its a little different than a say 1944 example ..This is 16 years earlier ..Maybe that was not Jodl's autograph but rather another leaders ? Can anyone translate it ?? Help needed Brent

The letter, dated 28 Oct., 1939 and addressed to Kesselring, is written by a man named Jodl, not necessarily Alfred Jodl (someone needs to compare the signatures to verify).
Jodl asks of Kesselring to use his influence to have his son accepted as a Fahnenjunker in the Luftwaffe.

Jodl explains that since he does not know Kesselring's current Feldpost number he addressed the letter to Kesselrings private residence in Dresden - he apologizes for the intrusion.

This is the second time Jodl has writing this request (the first request was sent to Kesselring in September)
