Hello Nick.
In addition to Francois' information you may be interested in the unit affiliation:
per Tessin Sw.Abt. 399 was a component of Sw.Rgt. 119 which in turn was part of 21. Flakdivision. This division was apparently stationed in the area of Luftgau XIV ( New) based on Wiesbaden. During the time period stamped on the letter it was temporarily within Luftgau VII Munich due to a consolidation of Luftgaue without a change in geographical location or higher unit affiliation. In early 1945 the division was incorporated into IV. Flakkorps. So it is apparent that this unit was employed in the airdefenses of Germany until Allied forces entered Germany in many areas.
