SS Oberfuhrer Richard Arauner

Hi, today I picked a couple of very nice pieces. One of them is a 19cm x 13cm original funeral pictures album for SS Oberfuhrer Richard Arauner dated 6 November 1936. I have never seen anything like this before and I think its really interesting as there are some owesome pictures in it from the early days of the SS. Can anyone tell me anything about this man? I will post up pictures of this album tomorrow when its day light to show you guys.

Thanks Gerdan for the links. Some great info on SS Oberfuhrer Richard Arauner, it is a shame the mans life was cut short through an accident. He held a high position for the area of Goslar and was liked by the people there by the looks of things. I also see this Oberfuhrer was awarded the blood order on 09.11.1933 very interesting!

Looks like I could have found a rare item here. I have been looking through the net regarding this photo album and the only thing I have found is from the Library of Congress in the U.S.A.
