    Frankreich document? stamps

    These were in with a US ETO officer's group I just picked up. A they for anything specific? Anybody collect such things?!

    Looks to me like coasters that one would set their glass of beer on.

      I should have posted the pic with something next to judge size. They are about the size of a US quarter and are gummed on the back. Definitly made to attach to some kind of document or official letter.

        That's what they are, seals for envelopes. I've seen them from time to time here on the forum.

          They are called "Verschlussmarken", adhesive or sealing stamps, just as Hank told us, to seal envelopes.
