The caption with the plate describes these Japanese soldiers to have fought during the battle for Berlin. Is that really true? I find that personally very hard to believe, any numbers of them known?

Hello everyone....many thankx for the comments, etc....a good friend of mine was just in contact with Otto Spronk, with Spronk confirming that the Japanese Officers shown were / are indeed accredited Japanese officers to the Wehrmacht, not "just" volunteers or attached to the Wehrmacht for liaison purposes, etc.

FYI, these photos came from the Photo Album of a JU 52 Crewman (you can see parts of the JU 52 in the background in each photo), both taken in the Ukraine, October 1942.
