Maybe this will help. This general was a German military attach******233; in Lithuania pre-war period.

I agree with TH0791. Lancell was a very small guy and he was never attaché.

That's Rumanian Order of the Star. So the host was most likely Rumania with attaché from many countries.

It's not "Order Of The Star Of Romania" 100%. 99% that it's a Blue Max.

Yes, it is Köstring - Military-Attaché in Moscow & Kaunas (1 Oct 1935-15 Sep 1938)

I stand corrected that it was not Rumanian Order of the Star.

But PLM means no Köstring and Köstring means no PLM. The man seems to be a little barrel chested to be Köstring.
