Where would you guess this would have been from Italy or Paris etc? They must have been having some serious problems.

Could be pretty much any occupied country i guess, though as it's from an artillery unit it makes me think of a country with coastline to protect, ie. the Atlantic wall as there was a much higher presence of artillery in these countries.
