The B on his shoulder board stands for SS-Totenkopf-Standarte 2 Brandenburg

but what's the number of the collar tab (5????)

maybe it's not 5 but 3 for the third Hundertschaft
beacuse each SSTK STANDARTE has 4 Hundertschafts

In 1939 SS-TK Standarte 2 'Brandenburg' was reorganized to SS-Totenkopf-Standarte 5 Dietrich Eckhart. My thought is what we observe in this photo is insignia mixture right after reorganization.
