I believe the officer in the wrapper is PzPi. because of the black underlay of the boards. It would be nice to be able to read the numerals on the boards to find out which Btl. he is attached to. The collar tabs are probably rosa. Because of supply problems etc. he was probably not able to obtain the correct insignia. He should have either twist waffenfarbe tailor added, or issue fleck piping to be correct. The boards may be off his four pocket tunic? Or all he could get.
The Steurmann is most definately Pioniere. As for the visor being pink piped, who knows??. It probably should be black piped for pi. Or it may be white piped and "barrowed' for the picture? This portrait requires more investigation.

Possibly this Panzer Pioneer was in transition or may have borrowed some of the uniform pieces he is wearing. He definitely is violating regulations but maybe for the photo session only...which is not that uncommon. He would most certainly have been stopped by the older NCO's of unit back at the Barracks and corrected on the spot!! BillComment

The first photo shows a Panzer Pioneer with very rare colar tabs. This Waffenfarbe was only used for a very short time. Introduced in May 1940 and disbanded in 1941 (see Uniforms & Traditions of the German Army 1933-1945 by J.R. Angolia & A. Schlicht pg. 445).Comment

I think you're right - the officer has not gotten around to changing the tabs (and perhaps never did), adding the black-piped straps to a wrap issued with 'standard' rosa tabs.
For the EM shot, perhaps the soldier did not own or did not have his visor with him when at the photographer's studio, and borrowed a comrade's cap for that 'special foto'. That seemed to be a fairly common occurence.Comment
