              Dear Larrister, very nice grouping, thank you for sharing!

              You may wish to read the following thread for more 25.PGD photos.

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=55886

              The divisional sign, inverted V over dot, was painted in red - contrary to the information in the unit marking book by Schmitz/Thies. Photographic evidence usually tells that the sign was neither white nor black. I believe that it was always painted in red. Here is a photo of a roadsign for Major Geßner, commander of division's supply unit.

              <img src="http://www.history.jp/images/25ID-Gessner.jpg">

              I see you superimposed Grasser's photo over the Westwall doc. I have the same photo (from which his face was cut out).

                Hi Akira
                Hope you don't mind me using Grasser's photo. I can't remember where I found it. If you want me to remove it I will.
                Can you help me with one of Kaiser's photos.
                Picture is of a Merc with unusual "H" sticker on windshield. Vehicle behind it has one as well. I haven't seen a sticker like this before.

                Regards
                Larrister

                  Please never mind! It's a neat idea to put the doc and photo together... No problem... And it is not from my archive, because I have never made scan from it

                  The circled H sticker appears to be the Truppenkennzeichen of Panzergruppe 4 (Hoepner) during 1941 - an example is seen on my website: http://www.history.jp/wehrmacht/021-03.jpg (only half of the sign is visible on the motorcycle). Is this from the same grouping? 25.Inf.Div.(mot.) was never under Panzergruppe 4.

                    Many thanks Akira
                    Yes, the photos came with Kaiser's documents. It is interesting that you say the photos don't have anything to do with 25 Inf. Div. One photo shows him in uniform. I was just looking through the photos and they do have a panzer theme to them. Here is an example: Wehrmacht soldiers and what appears to be two Panzer men (one wearing panzer wrap and medals) inspecting a destroyed Russian tank.
