    Hitler signature?

    Quick question

How rare is Adolf Hitlers signature? There is a signed document for sale in E-stand, and the signature resembles greatly the one on my Spanish cross in bronze urkunde I have in my collection

I see Hitler's signature offered for sale very often and countless examples have been posted here over the years. Most that are out there are forgeries and it takes skill to detect the better fakes. But even if we are only talking about absolutely original signatures I believe that there are a great many in collections and I wouldn't call his signature rare, by any means.

The one on your Spanish Cross citation is the stamped/autopen version - the one on the E-Stand (if you are referring to the promotion citation with the counter-signature of Blomberg) is hand signed. Prices vary - one citation similar to the one on the E-Stand was sold by a German dealer last year for just under 600 Euros while others go for more, it just depends on who is doing the selling.

I agree, not rare, but extremely collectable. And there is now every chance that they will become increasingly rare as various dealers and auction houses withdraw from selling Third Reich material in order to please the PC brigade. Just recently, R & R Auctions confirmed to me that they have ceased trading in Third Reich material. I had noticed that the once prolific military section had reduced its Third Reich items to a minimum, and now they have completely disappeared, with Hitler and Himmler even being wiped from their 'past auctions' section. How pathetic.
          Max.

I tried to sell something through them a few years ago and they lied to me about why they wouldn't take it, then foolishly reversed themselves in a later email and, long story short, pumped me for intel on who was selling the item and for how much. I arrived at the pathetic conclusion long ago. To attempt to rewrite your selling history by changing your archive is both disingenuous and cynical. Perhaps they should return their ill-gotten commissions too.

I wouldn't worry too much about auction houses that are no longer willing to deal in 3rd Reich items. There are still plenty around that will tell certain entities what they can do with their "political correctness". In the States Greg Martin, James Julia and Rock Island Auction are three big auction houses that immediately come to mind that will readily handle 3rd Reich regalia.
Of course you have Hermann's Historica in Germany

Sorry, Jim, but that's what a lot of people were saying a few years back about some of the auction houses and dealers that have now withdrawn from Third Reich trade. The PC brigade have some powerful allies. There's discussion in many countries about making trading in TR gear illegal. I tell you, it's days are numbered, hopefully not in my lifetime though.

So is there any concerns with the Hitler signature document on the Estand? Or does it look good?

If you refer to the one countersigned by Blomberg, I think it's a good one.
