      I think so, too. It does not bear any of the characteristics of a genuine signature.

            oakleaves

            I heard second hand from another collector who heard it from Ralf an interesting point regarding Balthasar. He received his oakleaves the day before he died. So, unless the postcard publishers knew in advance about his award and published a postcard which he could then sign which shows him wearing oakleaves, or he wore oakleaves before official awarding, then the signature must have been added after he died - i.e. forged.

            Attached is another stamped version (front and back) of the common Hoffmann postcard and also another signed one. It looks very like it to me that he is wearing oakleaves in the postcard (the modification to oakleaves appears very clear on the Rohr version of Balthasar). It's a tricky one... I certainly have reservations at this stage about the clipping and Hoffmann in post #5 and colour postcard, and also the one in green ink I posted...
