German battleship ID?

    German battleship ID?

    I have a small collection of photos depicting a sinking of a ship and a photo of this ship....I know it's a longshot, but can anyone identify the Germany ship pictured?......I can send photos direct also if it would help. these are snapshot size and they are original....thanks in advance

      It's riding a bit low in the water, but what makes you think this ship is sinking? The sailors don't appear to be in too much of a concern about anything.

      Don't know the identity of the ship, but it's not that big... so maybe a cruiser.

            I did not say that this ship was sinking, what I meant to say is that this is a single photo of a group of photos including a sinking ship....here are a couple of photos ofthe sinking ship....I can't tell the origin of the sinking ship. Thanks

              The sinking ship is also the Graf Spee after she was scuttled by her crew.

                  Admiral Graf Spee battleship

                  If that is the case, this could be a photo of Capt Hans Langsdorf....the person to his left in the suit is still a mystery.(in Buenos Aires?).
