    Reichsparteitag 1927

Here is a postcard from my collection.
Hoffmann #H.31, for the 1927 Reichsparteitag in Nürnberg.

the back of my card, showing Hoffmann's 1920's address on Schellingstrasse:

about 20 years ago I spotted the same postcard in an auction, advertised as 'used from the Reichsparteitag'. I was outbid but got the auctioneer to send me a photocopy of the back:

Then a few years later I spotted this 1924 postcard in a German auction and won it. Obviously Hoffmann "appropriated" the design for his 1927 postcard.

the back of the 1924 postcard:

Very nice, Randy! These items together would make a fine display, complimenting a display of the two different 1933 RPT journals published -- the original version including Röhm and the reprint without him!

    Cheers,

    Br. James

this is where its coming from

Ah, that's where the image of a lone Fokker on the 27 RPT postcard fits in!
Makes sense to picture it with a portrait of Rupprecht in the background but I am surprised Hoffmann did not 'photoshop' it when fitting the same for the mugshot of Hitler.
Then again I think there is a postcard from one of the later RPTs picturing Hitler's plane over Nurnberg.
      Thanks for showing!

      cheers
      Matt
