    Help With ID of Award Doc Signatures

    I'm posting these for member Jay V.

    He needs some help in IDing the signatures on these 2 EK documents.

    Anybody have any ideas?

      Hello

      The first signature belongs to Hans Gollnick
      The second one, given the date and the unit should belong to Mortimer von Kessel but I am not sure his seniority does match with the Generalmajor rank written. The following Kommandeur was Werner Marcks in the beginning of 1944.

        Hi!


        Mortimer von Kessel was promoted Generalleutnant on 1.12.1943, so the rank shown on the doc is consistent with him being the signatory.

          Thanks forum, i thought that the first signature was Gollnick, but the 2nd one is the one that i was really wondering about.If thats Generals Kessels signature you sure cant tell by the writing.Anways thanks for the advise. Jay
