In regard to: Request for Permission to engage and marry

Unterscharführer Hermann Schenk is asking for permission to marry in the first half-year of 1945 - For that he will send to the Rasse-und Siedlungshauptamt SS the requested pedigree of his bride.

That was truly f#ed-up nazi sh#t, when one needed proper breeding papers.

thanks for the info I think I would want to know whether or not we could marry before we started dating once you want to gert married you are to far in to turn back I figure it will be a paternity test that I will need.

I found this entry dealing with a "Schenk, Hermann" mayor from Schnetzenhause near Friedrichshafen (Bodensee/ Lake Constance ) and his SS membership.

Thanks but it is in German, which unfortunatly I do not read yet I need to learn it I have been kicking around the idea of picking it up here for awhile. Maybe that could be my New Years resoloution, things should slow down by the first of the year.
