Solduch TDB Panzervernichter 8.Panzer-Div.+Docs !

Hi Guys. This week, another cool-one... Directly obtained in the Family. Unfortunately the Veteran himself was already deceased. He was Oberleutnant by Aufklärungs-Rgt.8, Pz.Gren.Rgt.394, an Panzer-Aufkl.Abt.8. Note he was awarded Pz.Kpf.Abz. in Bronze on....1.3.45, a very non-logical order.... often seen by Soldbücher-Collectors ! He was awarded with : Sudetenerinnerungsmedaille - E.K.II 10.39 + WBB (polish Campaign), WBS 11.42, E.K.I 11.42, WBG 1.3.45, Panzervernichtungsabzeichen 22.2.45, Panzerkampfabz.Bronze 1.3.45. Very interesting , Soldbuch came with the "Frontzeitung" from the 8.Panzer-Division from märz 1945 (!!) with a small Report how this Oberleutnant and some of his Men destroyed several T.34 with Panzerfaust on the ODER-Front. This late Edition from the Division Journal "Der Würfel" is probably quite rare....Note that the Man has been officially awarded with the HONOUR CLASP (Ehrenblattspange des Heeres) in the last weeks of the War (his Name is mentioned in the Horst Scheibert Book from 1986). Unfortunately, this late (and last) Award has not been properly mentioned in his Soldbook. Last but not least, note the interesting Signature under the TDB-Award Entry, from KC Holder Hans-Joachim SELL (KC 14.4.45, Commanding Officer Pz.A.A.8). I hope you enjoy it.

MORE PICS A A FEW MINUTES !!

                Unquestionable items!
Thanks for showing us. I really love the SB with the "Panzervernichtungsabzeichen" entry, one of my favourite decorations with the CCC.
Congrats for these nice pieces of history.

Hi Kevin, Jeff and Edward ! Edward, nobody is searching for me in Germany... I do it by myself, it has been Years of intense Researches and thousands of Letters, lot of Visits.... sometimes your Efforts are crown with a good find, but a lot of work has been done without any Results. That is called "Passion" !

If not through pickers then you certainly have developed an interesting method that has lead to some great items. Being so fortunate to be just a short skip across the Rhine from Germany is a big plus in stoking the passion as well.

Congrats, you certainly have a very discerning and good eye then for some excellent finds!

Thanks for sharing another great Soldbuch out of your collection!
I really like the little paper that describes his action for destroying a tank.
