Yes, the 's' does mean schwere. I don't have an OOB for the unit but I'd assume that they were equipped with 88mm guns.

PAK 35\36, PAK 38 or perhaps even PAK 40 though i doubt it.

I thought that schwere units were only panzer units...
Are units with 88mm guns were also "schwere" ?

You are confusing the 'schwere' in this case with the heavy panzer units such as s.Pz.Abt 501, 507 etc or even heavy artillery units such as s.Art.Abt 422 and many others.
In the case of your citation it just means that the Kompanie was a heavy weapons type unit.
