    Demjanskschild Urkunde

    Hello All,

Recently picked up this Demjanskschild document. I like the more stylistic nature of the font, as it is unlike others I have seen. It looks to have been printed by a company in Latvia. The signatures are the same as most other versions posted.

I can't quite make out the signatures - can someone please post who the signatures belong to?

    Thank you.

Its a stamped "Graf Brockdorff-Ahlefeldt" (sp?). His signature appears on all these docs, almost always stamped. If anyone has ano original on offer, let me know. Brockdorff was also an instrumental player in the aborted 1938 abwehr coup to remove Hitler at the time of the Czech crisis.

Brockdorff-Ahlefeldt's signature on Demjansk citations should always be stamped as he died just 14 days after the shield was instituted.

        Thanks, Colin and Huck.

Any idea as to the other signature?

        Regards,

        Eric

I'm afraid not - I have often wondered that myself.

My guess would be either the IIb or at least an officer within the adjutantur.

BTW - I am looking for an original Brockdorff auto, not necessarily on a Demjanskschild document.

              Thanks

The other signature is Oberleutnant "Richter"

                  Best regards

"Richter" - yes, I see it now.

                    Danke, Herr Hirschberg.
