Hello Hundes,

Nice postcard, but pretty known, it's an Hoffmann propaganda picture, not common but far too overpriced.
If I recall correctly the last one on Ebay went for 80 EUR.

Ah yes, it's one of a series that Hoffmann published in 1919 showing the street revolution in Munich. I have 9 or 10 postcards from this series.

Read Hoffmann's 1956 autobiography for the story of how he managed to take these photos without getting shot (he got arrested and hauled in, but with a bit of bravado was able to talk his way out of a firing squad when he offered to take free studio photos of the revolutionary leader. As it turned out, it wasn't too long before that revolutionary was executed... oh well, that's Hoffmann's recollection of it.. and it's not like he wasn't well-known for embellishing tales...
