What values more - a wartime signed photo of a SS KC Winner or a wartime signed doc.?

Hello. I have a private discussion going on with a collector friend of mine. We don't agree on what's more valuable - a wartime signed photo of Joachim Peiper or a wartime signed document signed by him?

    Regards

depends on what the document was ?

It has to be the document because you have the value of the signature plus the value of the document.

The only way a photo can be worth more is if it's a private photo with a hand written dedication.

Simon is right on, a document or order that has gone through channels, was stamped and signed would be much more desirable to me! also it is more likely the document would be one of a kind, where a signed RK photo would be one of a hundred or more out there.

That reflects exactly what I am thinking.

IMO it's an original. Would you be so kind and explain why you believe it to be a fake?

Ralf is 100% correct. The document is an obvious forgery. The whole piece is a post-war fantasy item. The design of the printed heading is wrong; the actual composition of the letter is wrong; the ink receipt stamp appears wrong (a better scan would confirm or not); the signature has numerous flaws; the Eicke initial has flaws; handwriting, signature and initial appear to be written by the same hand and in the same ink by the same pen.
                  Max.

                            or

Oberbootsmann, why not explain why you think it is an original doc and sig instead?

Here is a Peiper for comparison...
