    Hello,
Here is a Waffen SS recruitment leaflet in Belgium. It is composed of 1 sheet recto verso printed. What do you think about it? Thanks for comments, Claude.

      Hi,

      nice propaganda leaflet.
Very interesting picture of a soldier with a tarnjacke without any shirt ! Very sexy I never saw that picture before.

Also you can notice that the traduction was "vous appelle" when the "Dich Ruft Die SS" was translated for the french SS booklet "t'appelle" .

Very interesting : the composition is quite average, and there is a few text errors !

Similar 2 pages flyers were done for the the dutch volunteers ( "Flinke Kerels Voor !" ) and for the danemark volunteers ( "Danske Maend !" ).
It is possible that variants (printing) exist, before i found two for the "Flinke KJerels Voor !" dutch flyer.

I hope to find this leaflet in the future, i now that The Collector's Guild website has 1 copy, but it is very expensive.

      See You

      Vince

        Hello Claude,
I do believe my SS recruitment poster shown here has the same gentleman recruiter in the photo.
        what do you think?

It is definitely the same recruitment officer.

You can see the same barricade fence in the background.

The same leaflet was also published in Dutch, for the Flemish Waffen-SS recruitment. The 'sexy' guy is a member of the Freiwilligen-Legion Flandern, if I'm not mistaken.
All sexy guys live in Flanders ...

                  Hi everyone,

i realise this is a rather old thread but i came across it whilst researching posters a bit earlier today and just now whilst browsing the net i found more info on something discussed here.

In this .pdf about Flemish volunteers ( http://www.cegesoma.be/docs/media/ch...05_carrein.pdf ) on page 140 you can see the picture used in Michael Fay's poster with the man earlier refered to as the "recruiting officer". The caption reads " Controle bij het vetrek van Oostfrontvrijwilligers te Antwerpen, 1 juli 1942 " , meaning basicly " Check up at departure of Easternfront volunteers in Antwerp, july 1st 1942".

                  Kind regards, Olivier.

                      Hey again guys,

although i have no reason to doubt the source that stated the picture was taken in Antwerp i got some actual proof now and an exact location. It is less then 1km from my place which probably explains my particular interest but i thought i'd share it anyway.

While researching a enlistment adress on a Waffen SS recruitement poster some time ago i came across a series of 23 pictures showing the "Sicherheitspolizei und Sicherheitsdienst Aussenstelle Antwerpen" at their HQ in Antwerp, 1944.
                      Nice fence, isnt it?

For those interested you can find the 23 pictures (and some names and ranks of the people depicted) here at cegesoma.be (click the button marked " documenten bekijken ").

                      Kind regards, Olivier.
