A recent thread got me thinking. The subject of semi-official unit traditions badges is, i believe, the last big area of German 'awards' yet to be thoroughly studied. There is scattered information here and there about some of them, most of it centered around the u-boat badges but it's clear all services issued or awarded them. Some more officially than others, including award documents and entries in the soldbuch\wehrpass.
I thought it would be interesting to create one thread where we can gather as much information as possible on this poorly researched area.
Pleast post, photographs of them in wear and award documents.
