    Hello, Sebastian.

Could you write the size of your portrait?

Hard to say... Very hard. IMO: 50/50. I mean that it's a very thin line between photographs that have been made pre-1945 & after 1945 till -60s. Especially if we are talking about such kind of portraits (Ritterkreuz winners in 8x12 & 12x18 cm size). In my opinion these kinds of portraits was made in more than 2 copies. I can even call them some kind of "press-photos".

Here you can see two portraits, one was sold here on eStand (I don't remember the seller) & second one from the huesken. First measures 8x12 cm, second 12x18 cm (same size as yours). Photo paper used for these kind of photos in 90% is photo paper for small-size "subject" photos (6x9±2 cm):

        - Agfa-Brovira
        - Agfa-Lupex
        - etc.

So, as you can see, portrait that was sold on eStand is the same as yours except size & contrast...

        P.S. It's ONLY MY OPINION...

Rostyslav, could it be that these type of photographs were made to frame? To hang them in the house, barracks... ?
