    1944 Safe Conduct Leaflet

    Found this today in my fathers old briefcase. Thought is was cool. I see there were meny examples of these dropped, I under stand the Germans liked official looking document thats why they produce these. Lets see what you have.

      Hi!

      I have one of these leaflets to.
      I believe they were dropped by air over German Army positions in Europe, in an effort to persuade soldiers to surrender without a fight.
      They were produced in very high numbers, and are quite common - but they are attractive and interesting items; at least in my opinion!
      Often wonder if many German soldiers actually used these "passes" in a bid to surrender?
      A thread on these propaganda leaflets would also be of great interest to me also.

        I read like 65,750.000. were dropped. I'm shore they were put to good use like toilet paper and starting fire's.
