Yes, it is obvious that's a stamp. You can even see a couple of smudges!
I think that paulj was just using that to show the initial with the sig. With a stamp, if you hold it at an angle the ink has no flow to it and just looks like a single block. I think that this was most common with AH signed items.
On the last one that I posted, I thought that it was good until I got it in hand and could examine it. The "mm" instead of loops goes to points and as noted, stops when a mistake was made with a 7th peak, then adjusted to an 'e.'
I am beginning to think a document is the best way to go on getting a good one.
