I recently purchased this item from an estate sale. It was purchased with some WWII US items, as well as some WWII German items that the soldier had brought back as souveniers. I believe this is a woodcut print. It measures about 5' 4" x 16". The paper is heavy, and appears to be woven. It has the texture of wallpaper, but is definetely old. Has anyone seen something like this before? Was this a souvenier sold to US troops just after WWII, or was this an item that a soldier may have taken during battle? Perhaps this is even older than WWII? I believe woodcut prints have been around for hundreds of years. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry but I do not think this is anything special. These kind of items are still produced today and sold at tourist shops. I does not look in anyway old.Comment
