He was a pretty obscure officer and not highly decorated so it'll be a bit of a needle in a haystack. Perhaps if someone has a photo showing members of the staff of the 352 ID in 1944 for example then you might have some luck.

He did earn the iron 1 class , German Cross in Silver. is there a book about German Cross in Silver holders could be a picture in it of him??

He earned the German Cross in Gold, not silver, as Ia of the 352 ID on 12th August 1944.

There are no such books, with photos of all awardees dealing with the army for either the silver or gold.


May i ask what your interest in him is?

Thanks for the reply and the fact of being a German cross in Gold winner. interest is because of reference to 352 ID, any info on this man would be helpful and still would like a photo of him.
