Hello all,
Two months ago I had a meeting with the family of a SS-Untersturmführer, which was a very special moment for me. During this meeting I even received photographs from his brother, who served with the Luftwaffe but was killed on the 31st of December 1942 in Italy. He was a Gefreiter in 5./Kampfgeschwader 26 and served as a Beobachter.
There were also two letters regarding his death, one from Generalfeldmarschall Keßelring and one from Hauptmann Stüwe, and I have two questions regarding them. First of all, does anybody know if the Keßelring signature is an ink signature or a facsimile? Second, does anybody have more information regarding Hauptmann Stüwe? Hopefully someone is able to answer these questions. I made the last name of the family black, this is not on the letter!
With kind regards,
Koen.
