Here is a photo of the wedding of late Hauptmann Ferdinand Wirges, DKiG on October 16th, 1.944 as commander of Pi.Btl. 389. It must be dated after his award of the EK I on July 2nd, 1.940 as Feldwebel on 3.(mot)/Pi.Btl. 179. The other man in uniform is mentioned as being his Battallion Chef and holder of the Blood Order and KIA in Kreta. I posted later the reverse where you can read this, I'm trying to put a name on this face and I think not too much Blood Order holders fought and died in Kreta. Also any info about Wirges military career is wellcomed.
