    Help with leather case

    Hello,

Can somebody help me with the following:
I recently came in the possession of a leather case. The case is 35 cm. long with a oval shape with a width of 7.5 cm. You can lift the top off. On the top it says "1936" and "ADJUDANTUR DES FÜHRERS","HERMANN GÖRINGSTRASSE","BERLIN". I think it was used for maps (but I'm not sure). Maybe someone knows what it was used for and what kind of office the "Adjudantur des fuhrers" was.
If anyone is interested in some pics, I have some but can't post them so I need some helping.

    Greetings,
    Pascal

I would say this is a played-with piece. It appears Adjutantur and Fuehrer are misspelled, and the lettering looks wrong -- the lettering in all upper case is not typical of the period. The Waffenamt marking and date could be okay, but that's hard to tell from the scan.

Thanks Erich for pointing out all the mistakes on the leather case. I must to been blind when I bought it, it even took a week before I noticed that "FURHER" was misspelled. I just couldn't see it. Sometimes you just don't see the things which you don't want to see.

              You're welcome, Pascal!
I've done similar things in the past--sometimes one concentrates so much on one aspect of a piece that other aspects can be overlooked!
              Best wishes,
              Erich
