Help with General?

Here's a photo I did not realise I had!!! It was in a box with many early Bundeswehr photos.

Not sure of the date but similar photos are from the opening stages of the Russian campaign.

It appears to show Hauptmann Ferdinand Schneider-Kostalski RKT (centre and blurry!) with the command of his Division. I presume that he was with Panzer Regiment 6 at the time so this should be 3 Panzer Division.

If that is the case then could this be Generalleutnant Walter Model? Whoever it is he is also wearing a Ritterkreuz.
