One of the best albums I've seen here in the WAF.
    Thanks for sharing.

Very nice pictures, I think I saw these on ebay a while back but wasn't in a position to bid. Can I ask how are they identified to the Polizei Battalion 255 ? Could they not also have been the 251 ?

        Hi,

right, i bought the photos 1 1/2 - 2 month ago on ebay.

I´m sure that they are Polizei Battalion 255 and not 251 because i did not find anything about that Polizei Battalion 251 was in Rügen before their time in Norway.

The Polizei Battaillone 105, 253, 255, 256 and 302 were all in Rügen before they came to Norway.

The second photo at post #30 shows Rügen end of January 1941. That matches the time, that Pol.Bat 255 was on Rügen.

In post #38 (second picture) the man by the car (right), i think this is Kurt Daluege. Daluege visited Pol.Bat 255 in the early 1942.

        Best regards

        Peter
