SS Portrait Wachkompanie Berlin CT Heydrich

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my recent find. A Portrait of an SS soldier with Reinhard Heydrich CT. He has what looks to be a "W" on his boards. I also have a fieldpost letter of him that is stamped with "SS-Wachkompanie Berlin" So I think the W means "Wachkompanie" ?

I wanted to find out what SS Wachkompanie Berlin did exactly ? Any why he has also the R.Heydrich CT on his uniform.

"W" is not means "Wachkompanie, but "Westland".

thats right ,intetesting as "westland" was in Nordland div,and hes cuff title is from Nord div.

Thanks Hans and Arek for clearing that up. I was just assuming without going deeper into the subject. Strange constellation then, he also served in SS Wachkompanie Berlin. Any info what this units destination was exactly ?
